TASK 3: DECONTAMINATE YOUR SKIN (M258A1)
PERFORMANCE MEASURES PASS (P)-----FAIL (F)
1. Decontaminated skin.
a. Removed the M258A1 Decontamination kit from load bearing equipment (LBE) or (simulated or actual) CPOG MOPP suit pocket.
b. Opened the decontamination kit and removed one DECON-1 wipe packet.
(1) Folded packet on the solid line, marked BEND, and then unfolded it.
(2) Tore open the packet quickly at the notch, removed the wipe, and fully unfolded it.
c. Wiped skin for 1 minute.
d. Dropped the wipe to the ground.
e. Removed one DECON 2 wipe packet.
f. Folded the packet on the solid line marked CRUSH AND BEND and unfolded it.
g. Tore open the packet quickly at the notch and removed the wipe.
h. Fully opened the wipe. Let the encased crushed glass ampules fall to the ground.
Wiped contaminated skin for 2 to 3 minutes.
j. Dropped the wipe to the ground.
2. Completed performance measure 1 in sequence within 5 minutes.
