1. Correctly disassembled the M249 machine gun into its eight major groups and components.

b. Operating rod assembly.
c. Barrel.
d. Gas regulator.
e. - Handguard.
f. Buttstock and shoulder assembly.
g. Trigger mechanism.
h. Gas cylinder.
Bipod.
2. Accomplished performance measure 1 within 4 minutes.
3. Correctly assembled the M249 machine gun.
4. Performed function check.
(1) Pulled the cocking handle to the rear. Returned it forward to the locked position.
(2) Moved the weapon to the SAFE position.
(3) Pulled the trigger. The weapon should not have fired.
(4) Placed the weapon on FIRE. Pulled and held the cocking handle to the rear.
(5) Pulled the trigger and allowed the bolt to ease forward.

5. Accomplished performance measure 3 and 4 within 5 minutes.
