As the C-212's engines roar to life, the 1st TSG (A) team begin boarding the aircraft through the rear ramp. C-212s in U.S. Air Force service (see photo above) can be seen routinely flying around the Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, North Carolina area. The last thing to be loaded is the ramp bundle on skid board plywood containing the unfolded ATBs and Roleez All-Terrain Stretcher Cart (RATSC) rigged to a G-13 cargo parachute. Rounding out the team is the Primary Jumpmaster, MSG Lee Cashwell, USA SF (Retired) and Assistant, Skip Sommers, and videoagrapher, MSG Dave Lilico, USAF CCT (Retired). The folded ATB in its airdrop bag shown above rigged to the Team Leader, LT Mike Sparks (see photo above) will be attached in-flight prior to the jump. In this picture, we have the ATB bag attached in a more vertical manner; this was later changed to a sideways orientation for the jump for more leg clearance.
